Average citizens are without electricity, heat, and water. Temperatures are well below freezing. Seniors are trapped in their apartments as elevators are not operational. People will die if we do not help Ukraine immediately rebuild its electricity infrastructure.
The Ukrainian World Congress is working with the Government of Ukraine to secure and deliver equipment most needed to rebuild their critical infrastructure.
We are urgently seeking assistance to source critical equipment. While they will be challenged over the medium to long term to rebuild their electricity system, their current requirements are immediate and extremely urgent: under constant threats of missile attacks, they need to cobble sufficient materials together to survive the winter. Ukraine is facing almost daily bombing and cruise missile attacks by Russia, mainly targeting electricity infrastructure. Many parts of Ukraine are in the dark and others face rolling blackouts.
Attached is information concerning the urgent and immediate need for critical supplies. Previous concerns about incompatibility of equipment due to difference in frequency or voltage are no longer an issue. They have workarounds, and are prepared, given the urgency, to adapt where required. Thus, they will gladly accept 60hz equipment, and their most urgent need is for transmission autotransformers. Their voltage classes on the transmission system, and acceptable equipment they can adapt are:
They need transformers, generators (various sizes), switch gear, among other equipment.
The level of desperation is such that they have indicated that they are prepared to purchase used decommissioned transformers that they will attempt to bring back into service, even if they can only get a few months of service out of them, just to get through the winter.
Additionally, station and switchyard equipment has been destroyed, creating an urgent need for other current and voltage transformers, circuit breakers, disconnectors, surge arresters and other equipment. The attached lists are updated daily and are the equipment most in need
By donating funds, the Ukrainian World Congress will be able to fund the delivery of donated equipment or the purchase of new or used equipment to the areas of Ukraine that are most in need and have experienced the most devastating destruction.

Energize Ukraine is working with government partners on logistics of getting equipment to the operators in Ukraine. If you do not have equipment, please donate funds to help cover transportation and logistics costs as well as to purchase equipment.
